Reviving some old challenges from lost-chall.org
There has been mixed opinion about this idea but let me fill you in on some background.
My humble beginnings as a site-admin were on lost-chall.org courtesy of Bregi who granted me the freedom to make challenges for the site.
I ended up with around 55 challenges there, some of them which I consider my best work.
Since leaving the admin position in 2010, many of my challenges there came under a state of disrepair. Many are non-functional, important challenge files were removed or altered - mostly due to site redesigns, updates, and other issues. As Bregi has little to no knowledge of my challenges, it is unlikely that unless I step in and rewrite around 30 challenges, they will never be fixed - something which I am not prepared to do for a site which I have had no contact with in a few years.
I am planning on not exactly porting these challenges to Revolution Elite, but reusing some ideas in order to revive some of the greater flares of ingenuity and evilness which I had back in the day.
Bregi will be informed of this decision, and maybe one day I will fix up the lost-chall versions to their former glory also. I will add (LC) to a challenge title whenever the challenge I put online has an idea originating from a lost-chall idea.
I do not see this as any disservice to lost-chall. In fact it would be wonderful if these challenges going online would persuade some of you to visit this great site and keep it active, because after all, I am not going to be reusing ALL my ideas, just a select few, and Bregi's own challenges (at least after seasons 1 and 2) are really something to behold. I learned many things from this guy and still hold him in high regard.
One final note - This is in no way an indication that I am running out of ideas. The last time I checked my ideas file I had around 90~ challenges which could be coded and put online, not including extra contributions from alucardo, lonewolf219, and caesum still sitting in my inbox.
Thank you all for your understanding of this decision.
