Revive Bright-Shadows.net

Are some people here interested to save the whole blacksheep site?

If so, someone with lots of solved challenges should wget spider the site (at best including forum).

I could rewrite the site so it would be back, more or less.

Sounds like a lot of work (and time we have to wait for it to be revived )

I think what we need to save are the (good) challs and the community.

I can help with providing the challs and some of the solutions (hashed maybe - like what some people are doing with hacker.org: https://github.com/Entkenntnis/hacker.org)

Also, I'm thinking of porting my Java applet challs to apk to catch up with current technology

I know it's a lot of work but we can do it

TBS challs are too good to get lost?

I'm ready to help, it reminds me good old times ;-)
However, I only solved 38% of it so maybe my contribution will be somewhat limited...

Sadly i lost my password and email for TBS.
So the first step is that someone crawls the site for challenges as well as public forum entries and provides them to me.

Then i will see how to generate new challenges from it for a new site (TBSRELOADED).
Also importing the forum is planned, so all the great hints are preserved.


I have 2 weeks of holidays left, and this project is overdue

The biggest problem for me is that i lost my password.
I cannot access the challenges anymore.

I need someone to download all challenge HTML, files and also for the forum

If i got this, i could start to import challs and forum and create a revival site.

So if someone can wget --recursive... i might work on it further.

I remember my login for bright-shadows.net. If I can help, I would be glad...



Maybe after I get the PHPSESSID cookie value, I could use httrack tool to download the website? In this case if someone can give me a clue to set up the correct complete command would be fine. Then .zip it and send it to you Gizmore?

something like :
wget --recursive -np -e robots=off -x --header "Cookie: PHPSESSID=<your session ID>" http://bright-shadows.net/hackchallenge
should do the trick, but you will need to filter the result
